At his 4 month appointment, he was 13 pounds, 12.8 ounces (15th percentile) and 25.5 inches (64th percentile). He got 2 more shots which didn't go so well at the time but he recovered by the time we got in the car and he gave Madges some great smiles on the way home.
Warner has gotten into a really good routine. He still wakes up around 7:30 but will entertain himself in the pack and play until 8, when I get him up. Then we'll eat and play until around 9:30 when he takes a nap, will sleep for between 1-2 hours and then we play until his noon feeding. After that, he gets tired pretty quickly so he's usually asleep by 1 and gets in a good 2 hour nap! We eat again at 4 and then we wait for Daddy to get home! We start bath time at 7:45 and you are fed and in bed by 8:30 on most days :) We try to stick to our schedule as much as possible but he is really pretty good and flexible if we get off a little bit! And we've also added Bible Study and MDO to the schedule! He goes to room 106 with Ms. Ruth and Ms. Roz on Tuesday mornings from 9:30-12 and 9:00-2 on Thursdays. The first day when I came to pick you up, you were on a stroller ride and talking with one of your new friends and it was the most adorable thing! I think you love all of the new people to smile at and talk to. You also sit in the bye bye buggie which just melts my heart because I used to push my MDO class around in bye bye buggies and it boggles my mind that I now have one of those babies that is big enough to ride in one!
Our big family development for the month was moving into the house! We all absolutely love it. Warner is so happy to have so many toys and lots of different things to look at. He also likes having his own room even though he doesn't sleep there yet. I think we'll move him soon but I like the convenience of having him next to us for putting his paci back in.
He started to take a bath in your penguin tub and absolutely love it! Warner loves to splash around and kick but he always have a very serious look on his face. And he don't mind at all when we accidentally get water in your face. He is a seriously easy baby.
Warner has totally mastered the art of rolling over. Within 10 seconds of us putting him down on his back, he has rolled over onto his front. He sometimes forgets that he can roll back over though and he'll get frustrated when he is tired of tummy time. But he loves to sleep on his stomach and on his side and holds his little blankie up to his face (and sometimes over his face but we try to pull it down so he doesn't suffocate) and just snoozes! We also switched to Mam paci's this month which he just loves.
The little man also makes all sorts of noises. He has really discovered his voice and he'll make everything from high pitched squeaks to raspberries. He loves to talk and make facial expressions if he has an audience too. I can't wait to hear what he has to say when he learns English :)
One of my favorite things from this month is his use of his hands. He can grab at something at get it almost every time now. He also uses his hands to hold on when we carry him, or to put his arms around me when I nurse him. It's almost too much for my heart to bear. Another favorite of mine is how big he smiles when he wakes up in the morning or from a nap. It's like he is so surprised and excited that we are still here and he's still alive and there's more fun and kisses to be had. He's also started to understand how mirrors work which is adorable and hilarious! We used to go look at the "baby in the mirror" and he'd kind of look at himself but not really. Now he loves to look at his reflection, then my reflection and just laughs and smiles.
Also this month, he started sitting in his bumbo, went on his first boat ride at the lake, he went to his friends' Eloise and Caleb's first birthday, had a new friend, Jeannine, be born, got lots of kisses from his new friend, Sam the dog, accidentally peed on Stella, visited College Station for a football game (even though he stayed at the Mazz home with Madges) and watched lots of college football!
Both are amazed by the first football weekend of the year
Whoop!
First time playing airplane, not really sure what to think!
Such a big boy in the bye bye buggy!
I left him on our bed for 2 minutes to put on my clothes and this is what he does to himself
Loves rolling onto his tummy!
Another new toy, the exercauser (or fitness bumbo as Daddy calls it, hah!)
Loving his swing that the Mazz's lent us and that Padges fixed for us
Such a funny little man
Madges came to the doctor with us which is a big help!
Our little shark boy after his bath
This is how you love to take naps in the stroller with all of your blankies
Snoozing on the boat
Warner was so happy that we went to go meet Daddy for lunch
He also likes to watch me while I push him in the stroller
Cutest passport photos ever
Hanging out like a big kid in the bumbo
